How to Configure a Join and Gift Welcome Reward

Configure an eligible QR registration benefit with clear terms, consent checks and redemption instructions.

How do you configure a welcome reward with Join and Gift?

First define a supported benefit and its rules in Rezervem Gift, then test the eligible guest registration through Rezervem Join. Join creates the guest profile; Gift manages issuance and redemption conditions. Scanning a QR code does not automatically award a benefit. The restaurant needs a clear offer that the host team can explain and honour.

Make the offer understandable before opening the settings

Consider a venue that would like to offer a dessert on a future visit. Is the reward valid immediately or on the next visit? Does it apply at every branch, and when does it expire? These questions should be answered in the wording of the offer, not left for a waiter to resolve when a guest arrives with a code.

1. Confirm the registration source

Check that the printed QR opens the intended linked Join form for the restaurant. An independent Connect QR flow may return a different welcome code and has its own conditions. That code should not be described as a standard Rezervem Gift entitlement or a voucher accepted by every payment system.

2. Set the type and validity of the gift

Choose an available benefit that suits the venue, such as a defined product, fixed amount or percentage offer where supported. Specify the eligible restaurant, dates, times and any guest limit. Confirm that the terms shown to the guest match the configured rule and the actual service policy.

3. Review privacy and phone verification

The registration purpose and applicable marketing permissions should be explained separately. The linked welcome-gift process can require the consents shown by the venue and appropriate telephone verification before issuance. A profile being created is not itself proof that all conditions for a gift have been satisfied.

4. Test a new guest registration

Complete the form with a permitted fictional identity. Check that the correct profile was created and that the expected Gift entitlement, if eligible, appears with the right code and validity. Record the actual issuance outcome rather than treating the registration success message as evidence of reward creation.

5. Test repeat registration and previous use

Open the same QR again with the controlled guest record. Verify that an existing or already used benefit does not lead to unintended repeated issuance. Check expired and ineligible conditions in a test environment and agree how staff should explain those outcomes clearly.

6. Rehearse redemption during service

When the guest returns, the team must check the code, restaurant, date and permitted use through the supported workflow. Keep issued, redeemed and expired rights as distinct records. Even a redeemed reward does not automatically prove the guest booked through a particular marketing campaign.

How Rezervem supports the workflow

Rezervem Join provides the guest registration point. Rezervem Gift governs eligible entitlements and use. Manager supplies reservation context where linked. Connect handles separately permitted messages rather than gift entitlement accounting.

The final staff rehearsal

Give the printed invitation to an employee who did not configure the system and ask them to explain when the gift can be used. Include an example of an already-issued reward and one that expired. If the answer is unclear, simplify the wording or the offer before guests encounter it. The guest experience improves when the promise and the rule match.
