Offering a pre-check-in link to hotel guests

Check guest identity, collected details and the steps that still require front-desk handling.

Pre-check-in is not necessarily room check-in

A guest can submit information before arrival, but that does not mean statutory identity checks, room assignment or key handover have been completed.

Before enabling the link

Confirm that the Stay pre-check-in feature and relevant PMS/data flow are configured. Review the information collected, notices, link validity and who can access submitted records.

Test with an authorized sample stay

Open the link for a controlled test booking. Confirm it refers to the right guest and booking, that fields reach the expected staff workflow, and that expired or invalid links do not reveal another guest’s data.

  • Is this the correct stay?
  • Do submitted fields reach the intended record?
  • Are reception-only checks clearly separated?

Set accurate guest expectations

Explain that guests can complete selected details in advance, while identity verification and room handover follow the property’s on-site procedures. Do not promise automatic room assignment or keyless arrival.

Rezervem roles

Stay supports the guest journey; PMS manages hotel records. The exact flow depends on the property setup.
