Role permissions and property access are different
A colleague may be allowed to perform a task but should only do so at assigned venues. Review actions and property boundaries separately, especially for groups and hotels.
Start with minimum necessary access
List each person’s actual tasks. A host might need booking and check-in access without permission to change payment rules, export guest data or manage accounts.
Test the role
After an authorized administrator assigns the appropriate role and properties, have the colleague sign in using their own account. Check both what they can do and what they cannot access.
- Is the correct property assigned?
- Can the user complete the work required?
- Are unrelated administrative and guest-data features restricted?
Changes and departures
Review permissions when a colleague changes roles or locations. Revoke leavers’ access and avoid shared accounts. Keep an appropriate record of permission changes.
