A digital guest journey is more than an app
A digital hotel guest experience platform lets guests find information and complete relevant actions before, during and after their stay. Rezervem Stay is the guest-facing layer in this approach, not another PMS or restaurant-booking engine.
Guests may need to share an arrival time, reserve a table or request a service. They should not have to understand which hotel department owns every step.
Different hotel systems answer different questions
The PMS owns rooms and accommodation records. A restaurant booking system owns availability and reservations. QR ordering owns menus and service points; hotel operations handle the requests that staff need to fulfil.
Saleable extras require a product catalogue, variants, correct prices and orders. The payment layer tracks actual collection, separately from the order itself.
A connected interface should not create a second source of truth. Write down which department and system owns each status before deciding how the guest will see it.
Four moments shape the guest journey
Before arrival, guests need suitable preparation and information. Arrival should avoid needless repeated entry. During the stay, dining, ordering and service requests matter. After leaving, feedback can inform improvements.
Imagine a guest who cannot reserve the preferred restaurant and also cannot find alternatives. The journey map should identify both booking availability and how other options are displayed.
Build a baseline before buying more technology
Measure the guest actions that still require a call or a reception visit. Screen views alone are weak evidence of success; completed reservations or resolved requests are more useful outcomes.
For each touchpoint, ask who creates the information, who changes it, how another team receives it and what happens when it is wrong.
Create a simple handover table for front desk, restaurant, service staff and operations. Name the owner of each status and who handles exceptions. Different hotels may use different rules.
- Track pre-arrival data separately from paid offers.
- Define the actual record owner for each action.
- Measure completed actions, not only app opens.
- Include incorrect or expired stay access in testing.
Five guest actions must remain distinct
Booking a table, buying an extra, placing a QR order, sending a service request and preparing for check-in are different transactions. Each has its own eligibility, inventory, payment or staff workflow.
Define the operational record, visible status and cancellation or correction action for each. See the guest journey guide (Turkish resource).
Why should web and mobile share the same records?
A hotel may provide web and QR access or optionally a branded app. The guest should see consistent reservations and service states because both interfaces refer to the same authorised operational records.
App-store publication, secure links and mobile/web parity require separate tests. A web channel should still let a guest complete supported basic actions without installing an app.
Where does Rezervem Stay fit?
Rezervem Stay brings relevant hotel services to the guest interface. Supported PMS connections establish the accommodation context and Rezervem Manager handles restaurant reservations. QR Order manages ordering, while Hospitality manages staff-facing tasks.
Experience owns paid products and orders; Pay owns the corresponding collection flow. An experience purchased through the guest interface does not automatically post to a PMS folio or create a departmental task.
Availability and integrations differ by hotel. Pre-check-in writes, extras checkout and automatic post-stay surveys require specific validation. Explore Stay.
