Why is a room number not sufficient?
In a resort with multiple restaurants, guests want to know where they can dine tonight without calling reception. Room-linked restaurant booking connects the stay context to eligible dining options.
Room numbers are often easy to guess. The hotel must verify the stay with appropriate additional information and limit access to that guest's authorised reservations. A receptionist's manual verification practice cannot be replaced by an unrestricted number field.
Stay identity and table availability are different records
The PMS or approved accommodation source holds stay dates, assigned room and status. The restaurant system controls service times, table availability, party size and its own booking rules.
A guest checking out on Saturday might be ineligible for a Saturday evening booking. Room changes and local property time zone also matter. A free table is not proof of an eligible stay.
Which steps should the guest see?
After validating guest eligibility, display only the restaurant booking decisions that matter. Multi-restaurant properties should retain separate rules per outlet.
- Verify the room and stay with the hotel-approved method.
- Show only the restaurants and service periods available for that stay.
- Select the meal date, party size and suitable time.
- Present any paid-dining or booking terms before confirmation.
- Show a clear confirmed record with the agreed date and time.
- Offer changes or cancellation according to the restaurant's policy.
Test four operational failures before launch
Do not apply one party-size limit across every venue. Block unsupported post-checkout bookings, show paid-dining terms before confirmation and keep cancellation status consistent between guest and restaurant screens.
Use controlled test records for active and future stays, checkout dates, changed rooms, fully booked outlets, paid restaurants and cancelled bookings. Document what the guest sees and which record the staff receives.
What do Stay, Manager and PMS each do?
Rezervem Stay is the guest-facing booking channel. The PMS provides approved accommodation context, while Rezervem Manager owns restaurant availability, service hours and confirmed booking operations.
Rezervem's hotel restaurant guest app includes room/stay-date sign-in, restaurant availability, booking, booking history and cancellation workflows. The deployed PMS integration and venue settings still need verification. Explore Stay or the Manager hotel-outlet guide (Turkish resource).
