Placing an order and charging a room are different
Hotel room-service QR ordering lets guests request items from their phones, but payment and room-account posting are separate actions. Rezervem Stay can connect the guest journey to QR Order where the actual hotel integrations are enabled. Room-service QR ordering allows a guest to open a menu, select food and send the order to the appropriate service operation. Confirming the room or delivery destination is another decision.
Posting the final amount to the PMS folio is an additional financial action. Successful QR ordering does not by itself prove that a room charge or online payment happened.
Rooms, tables and loungers are different service points
A room may be the delivery point for room service; a beach club may use loungers or cabanas; a restaurant may use table identifiers. Staff must know the correct physical destination.
Using the same style of QR access across locations does not justify mixing their order locations or preparation teams.
When does accommodation verification matter?
A guest already verified for an authorised stay may be able to use an applicable ordering flow without re-entering every detail. But a day visitor has no automatic entitlement to room-based charges.
Require guest and stay verification proportional to the action, particularly if a payment may be posted to the room account.
Four checkpoints for every order
First check that menu items are currently available; a sold-out item should not remain orderable. Next check where the order is routed, then where delivery should occur, and finally which financial record owns payment.
A submitted order should have a unique status that staff can actually follow.
Test delayed preparation, menu changes, changed locations and payment failures before using the flow with hotel guests.
- Confirm the current menu and item availability.
- Route the order to the responsible preparation point.
- Record the correct table, room or lounger for delivery.
- Verify the correct payment or room-account destination.
Orders, payments and folio entries are separate records
QR Order owns the ordered items and servicing context. If a card is charged, the payment outcome belongs to the relevant financial provider or Pay flow; a room charge additionally requires a supported PMS folio operation.
An order being accepted does not mean the charge settled or was posted to the correct room. Reconcile each source and define the exception process.
How Stay and QR Order may work together?
Rezervem QR Order provides QR and guest-context access plus menu and ordering workflows. Stay is the intended guest-facing hotel journey; the link between them must be confirmed for the actual property and session.
An integrated Stay screen is not evidence that all ordering and folio features work in every hotel. Test guest access, room changes, payment and staff fulfilment.
Explore Stay, QR Order and Pay as separate parts of the guest journey.
