An offer on screen is not a completed sale
Upselling encourages an upgrade, such as a better room; cross-selling introduces a complementary experience such as a spa package or transfer. Both require an offer that can genuinely be purchased and delivered.
A promotional card is only the beginning. Pricing, channel eligibility, order creation, successful payment and service fulfilment need their own rules and statuses.
Build a catalogue of services the hotel can deliver
Start with categories, products and selectable variants. A transfer can have one-way or return options; a celebration package may include cake and room preparation. These are illustrations, not preset Rezervem offers.
Record description, images, unit, price, tax conditions, permitted property or outlet, cancellation rules and extra guest details. The accepted sales price must remain attached to the order even when the catalogue later changes.
Five decisions separate a proposal from a purchase
Check eligibility for the selected stay, the full price, the accepted product and quantity, the actual payment result, and who will deliver the service.
For example, a guest selects a celebration package priced at TRY 1,800. This is an illustrative amount. A message saying 'Request received' is not equivalent to an accepted order and completed payment.
An upgrade or late checkout depends on actual accommodation capacity and hotel approval. Listing it in a product catalogue does not reserve another room or create a PMS folio entry.
An order and a payment have different histories
An order records what was chosen, at which price and in what stay context. Payment is a financial result and can be pending, completed, partially refunded or cancelled. Do not describe 'selected', 'paid' and 'delivered' as the same state.
For a partial prepayment, show the total cost, amount collected and balance outstanding separately. Successful collection of a deposit is not full settlement.
The guest interface should use the commercial source of truth
A hotel may offer services before arrival or during the stay. The guest screen should use the correct catalogue and checkout channel rather than re-entering product prices in a second interface.
Measure fulfilment, not only offer clicks?
Track the number of eligible impressions, orders created, successfully collected payments, services fulfilled and refunded orders. As an illustration, 100 impressions leading to 15 orders, 12 paid orders and 11 delivered services does not mean 15 completed sales.
Stay, Experience and Pay have separate jobs. The hotel upsell setup checklist is available in Turkish.
Experience owns catalogue categories, variants, prices and orders; Pay handles financial collection. Products still need the right outlet and sales-channel configuration.
Where enabled, payments may use a product-linked request or an integrated checkout. An email or payment link is not a mandatory extra step for every purchase channel.
A successful charge does not necessarily post to a room folio, confirm an upgrade or create a Hospitality task. Those are separately verified delivery and integration steps.
