A waitlist is not a confirmed booking
When the restaurant has no suitable table, the waitlist records guest demand. Being on the list does not mean a table is held or a reservation has been confirmed.
Record the request accurately
Open the waitlist workflow available to your venue in Rezervem Manager. Record the requested date, acceptable time window, party size, usable contact details and service-relevant notes; limit personal data to what is needed.
Make a decision when a table opens
After a cancellation or shift in service, reassess the actual table, capacity and guest preferences. Contact the candidate, confirm acceptance of the proposed time and conditions, then complete the venue’s booking process.
- Is the table genuinely available for that party and time?
- Has the guest accepted the offer?
- Has the waitlist entry been updated once a booking is made?
If the guest does not respond
Follow the venue’s policy for how long to hold an offered table. Do not assume automatic queuing, table allocation or outbound messaging unless enabled and verified for your installation.
