What is the practical difference?
Rezervem Pay supports independent payment requests through links or QR codes in eligible hotel and spa setups. Taking a payment on a physical card terminal is a separate device and provider integration. Displaying a QR is not evidence that a card terminal is connected to Pay.
An example from service
A guest buys a spa treatment at the front desk. With a physical terminal, staff initiate the card payment on that device. With a Pay QR request, the guest uses their phone to open an online payment page.
A remote payment link can be sent before arrival. Whichever route is chosen, the service should not be considered paid until the payment provider confirms success; fulfilment and refunds have their own records.
Where the process can go wrong
A physical POS integration depends on the device model, provider, merchant ownership, refunds and a verified production connection. The Pavo physical terminal integration is coming soon, so do not assume device collection is live.
QR and link payments still require the right venue and provider. A guest closing the payment page, losing connectivity or receiving a bank decline must not be mistaken for successful collection.
Five essential checks
Run these checks before relying on a payment status in service.
- Decide whether the payment starts on a terminal or in the guest's phone browser.
- Compare provider, merchant ownership, currency and refund support for each method.
- For a Pay QR or link request, confirm the spa or restaurant revenue centre.
- For a physical card terminal, independently verify the model and live integration status.
- Test approved, declined and interrupted transactions and reconcile each with the provider.
How Rezervem supports the workflow
Rezervem Pay supports free-amount or eligible Experience product requests through QR and payment links. Rezervem QR Order handles guest ordering and service stations; it is not a physical card terminal.
A business needing terminal collection should review the supported device and virtual POS connection separately. Do not present an unreleased device integration as an available payment method.
