The short answer
Rezervem Experience redemption codes, where applicable, represent fulfilment rights connected to paid product orders. Rezervem Gift manages promotional rewards, treats and discounts granted by the venue. The codes can look similar to staff, but their financial origin and conditions are different.
One guest arrives with a prepaid breakfast entitlement. Another has a complimentary birthday dessert from the restaurant. Both deserve an attentive welcome, but the cashier needs to know whether a payment has been collected or a promotional right has been issued.
A prepaid breakfast code is not a birthday gift
At the end of the evening the service team wants to count how many benefits were redeemed. Calling every code a paid sale would mix the venue's generosity with actual revenue, and could make a genuine customer refund hard to reconcile.
The first question is what the code represents: a purchased service or a complimentary entitlement. The answer determines which record to inspect, which expiry conditions matter and whether a refund even exists.
Five checks to separate paid and complimentary benefits
Work through the sale, service and financial records in that order rather than assuming one record confirms the next.
- Identify whether the entitlement originates in a paid order or a promotional gift.
- Check the correct validity, venue and use conditions.
- Validate an Experience code or Gift right in its own workflow.
- For paid products, reconcile redemption with payment and refund records.
- Report promotional usage separately from paid sales.
The boundary between Experience redemption and Gift rewards
Experience can link eligible paid orders to voucher codes and record their use, but not every order generates a code. Gift grants and tracks a separate promotional benefit. When money is involved, verify the actual collection and any bank refund through the relevant payment record.
A reservation-linked service may be fulfilled without a code. Invalidating a code does not itself establish that money was returned, nor does receiving a gift imply a paid product purchase.
