The short answer
Rezervem Experience supports a primary tasting-menu product with eligible related add-on products such as a drinks pairing or a special table setup. Describe the base menu, the add-on, its price and the number of guests it applies to. A related-product definition does not automatically create discounts or a guest-facing upsell on every channel.
At a table of four, all guests order the tasting menu but only two want a drinks pairing. The kitchen needs four menus and the service team needs two pairings. The bill should state both items separately without forcing a package on everybody.
Four tasting menus but only two drinks pairings
The host offers a pairing as if it were already included, and the guest is surprised by the additional charge. A more considerate conversation makes it clear what comes with the menu and what is an optional extra.
Optional products need their own definition, valid selection quantity and clear financial treatment. Hiding them in the main menu description makes kitchen preparation, guest expectations and refunds harder to manage.
Five service checks before offering an optional extra
Work through the sale, service and financial records in that order rather than assuming one record confirms the next.
- Write down exactly what the base menu includes.
- Create a separate product and sellable variant for the optional service.
- Check the supported single-level add-on relationship and sales eligibility.
- Test guest counts, item quantities and prices on an example order.
- Keep pay-at-venue additions separate from product payment-link collections.
How Experience records the tasting menu and its add-on
Experience models the base item and eligible related products, so a supported sale can retain distinct items and prices. A staff-added product on a Manager reservation is marked payable at the venue. A product-backed Rezervem Pay collection is a different sales path and must be confirmed separately.
A related product does not bring automatic package discounts, endless nested add-ons or a self-service recommendation on every guest screen. Module, channel and delivery conditions may vary, and changes or cancellations should be reconciled against the actual order.
FAQ: Is an add-on included in the tasting-menu price?
Not necessarily. Describe inclusions and the extra price clearly.
FAQ: Does creating a related product trigger an automatic discount?
No. The relationship itself does not apply package discounts.
FAQ: Must every person at the table buy the same pairing?
Not automatically. Item quantity and applicable guest rules must be considered.
