How to configure Experience prices and permissions by venue

Set up Rezervem Experience across restaurant branches with product assignments, venue price overrides and separate staff permissions.

Why different restaurants need different experience prices

Rezervem Experience lets an organisation maintain one catalogue product while assigning it to selected restaurants. The effective price of a purchasable variant can be overridden for a specific venue. A city restaurant and a hotel restaurant may serve the same celebration cake but have different preparation and service costs.

A centrally defined product is not automatically for sale everywhere. Assign it only to branches that can deliver the promised service. Check the variant currency, tax configuration and active sales channel before showing the offer to a guest.

A practical rollout for two branches

Start with one product, such as a tasting-menu upgrade. Agree what is included at each location, then compare the standard variant price with any venue-specific override. If the beachfront branch cannot provide the experience, leave it unassigned instead of giving its staff an unusable option.

Separate responsibilities as well. Staff who maintain descriptions need not be able to edit price or tax fields. Test the catalogue with a restricted venue user and a pricing-authorised user; verify that an edit by a restricted user leaves assignments to other branches untouched.

Five checks for two-venue pricing and access

Run these checks with a real venue and an authorised staff account before treating the workflow as ready for guests.

  • Define the catalogue product and its purchasable variants at account level.
  • Assign only the venues that can fulfil the experience.
  • Compare base price, venue override, currency and tax details.
  • Test editing with both authorised and restricted staff roles.
  • Review sellable items per venue and check a historic order's captured price.

What Rezervem Experience records and what teams verify

The Experience catalogue keeps product assignments and price overrides with permission checks. This supports central consistency without requiring the same price in every restaurant. Teams still decide the commercial terms and review whether a proposed price matches what can actually be prepared.

Use an existing sale to confirm that its recorded amount remains meaningful after a catalogue price change. Check audit information when prices are edited, and do not infer successful collection from the mere existence of a priced catalogue item.

FAQ: Can an unassigned branch sell the product?

No. A venue assignment and eligible channel are required for the relevant sale.

FAQ: Can every catalogue editor change prices?

No. Price and tax editing require distinct permissions.

FAQ: Which price applies when there is no venue override?

The variant's base price applies; a valid override replaces it for that venue.
