Start with the reason guests should join
An open membership and an invitation-only club solve different problems. One helps a broad guest community participate; the other supports a selective experience with explicit admission rules. Neither is a substitute for good service.
Before picking a model, write down who can join, what members receive, how benefits are checked and whether ordinary restaurant reservations remain available to everyone.
Open membership lowers the entry barrier
In an Open model, guests who meet the membership terms can join without a private invitation. For a restaurant or city hotel, this may make repeat visits and relevant offers easier to organize.
Verification, privacy notices and marketing permissions should be separate decisions. Socielty's planned web/QR sign-up, app and tier features are not described as already live for all properties.
Private membership controls admission
An invitation-only club can allow the public to discover the restaurant while limiting membership to invited or approved applicants. General reservations need not be restricted by the membership admission process.
Decide who issues invitations, how long they remain valid, who reviews requests and how access to a member-only event is checked against real capacity. Priority access is not a guaranteed table.
Compare the models against your operation
A high-volume restaurant may favor broad enrollment, while a small tasting-counter concept may prefer selective access. Hotels can also distinguish between staying guests and day visitors to a spa or beach club.
Map the expected member benefit to the system that actually fulfills it: Manager handles reservations, Gift manages specific entitlements and Connect handles permission-based communication. Do not assume membership automatically activates those products.
Socielty's intended models and release status
Socielty by Rezervem is still in development. Open and Private acceptance, branded apps, Wallet passes, reward tiers and cross-property connections are product goals, not proof of a generally available production implementation.
The intended product separates membership admission from tier and privilege rules. Explore the Socielty product direction and discuss implementation scope through our team.
