The short answer
Rezervem Experience structures a restaurant's extra services as categories, products and purchasable variants. Start with a clear service name, create the options a guest can actually buy, then check the selected venue, the effective price and the sales channel. Being listed in the catalogue does not automatically make a product available.
A restaurant might offer a four-person or eight-person birthday cake. Both sizes belong to one product, but they require distinct sellable variants, prices and instructions. In Experience, the variant is the unit sold even when a product offers only one option.
A birthday cake can have more than one sellable option
A host records 'cake' against a reservation, while the guest imagines a larger size and the kitchen prepares a smaller one. The problem is not a lack of hospitality. It is the lack of an agreed service description that makes the sale unambiguous to both teams.
Without a structured catalogue, inclusions, tax, dietary details, quantity and the responsible location may be recorded inconsistently. A central entry must not silently become a product offered at every branch, particularly where teams and prices differ.
Five checks to publish a reliable product catalogue
Follow the operational, financial and guest-facing details as separate checks so that no stage is assumed to be complete.
- List the most frequently requested extras and identify who prepares each one.
- Create a category and product, then define each purchasable size or menu option.
- Record included services, dietary information, currency and the effective price.
- Assign products only to branches and sales channels able to fulfil them.
- Run an eligible test order and check its variant and captured selling price.
How Experience handles variants and venue availability
Rezervem Experience manages categories, products, variants, venue assignments and pricing. Permissions can separate price and tax changes from general catalogue editing. Rezervem Manager remains responsible for reservations and tables. Neither a catalogue record nor a reservation by itself proves that an extra was purchased.
Before enabling sales, validate the Experience module, user permissions, active status and relevant day, meal or guest rules. Product selection, payment collection and service fulfilment are three different confirmations. Staff should understand which record is authoritative at each stage.
FAQ: Does a single-price product need a variant?
Yes. Even a product with one choice is sold as a variant.
FAQ: Will one catalogue item sell at every location?
No. Venue assignment and sales-channel eligibility must be checked.
FAQ: Does publishing an item charge the guest?
No. A catalogue item is distinct from an order and a successful payment.
