How to Add Online Booking to Your Restaurant Website and Instagram

Copy separate Website and Instagram source-tagged links from Rezervem Manager, place them correctly and test the booking journey.

Start with the guest's booking entry point

Your restaurant website and Instagram profile are two different discovery locations. Both need a clear way to reach real availability and complete a booking. A social message or informal website inquiry is not a confirmed reservation.

Rezervem Manager offers a venue-specific booking page and source-tagged URLs for Website and Instagram. Guests use an eligible link to select the restaurant, date, time and party size under the venue's rules.

1. Copy the Website-tagged reservation URL

From Manager's online booking settings, copy the Website link. Add it to your website navigation or a 'Book a table' button. Validate that the destination belongs to the right branch and shows the intended service hours.

Where compatible, the guest reservation application can be embedded using an iframe configured by your site administrator. Test mobile responsiveness, iframe restrictions, cookies and any payment redirects before publication. This is not an automatically generated one-line JavaScript widget or custom-domain booking page.

  • Open the button on mobile and desktop.
  • Check day, meal period, time slots and party-size limits.
  • For an iframe, verify browser policy and eligible payment redirects.

2. Use a separate Instagram source-tagged link

Copy the Instagram link from the Manager settings rather than reusing the Website link. Add it in Instagram's Edit Profile → Links section. Where Instagram supports Story link stickers for your account, you can share the same URL in a Story.

This is not automatic Meta native booking button installation, an Instagram Graph API reservation integration or an automatic DM booking bot.

  • Open the profile in the Instagram mobile app.
  • Visit the booking form through its in-app browser.
  • Complete a test reservation and check the source in Manager.

3. Treat Google Maps booking as a separate channel

A Google Business Profile link redirects the guest to an external booking page, whereas eligible End-to-End guests finish their booking inside Google. Rezervem supports an active End-to-End channel for eligible restaurants; the separate direct Google technical integration is still being finalized.

Venue matching, profile eligibility, opening hours, service rules and channel activation need to be checked before you advertise in-Google booking. The Google Maps integration and Google booking guide explain the distinction.

4. Validate notifications and financial booking rules

Booking confirmation, cancellation and reminder communications depend on venue configuration, guest preferences and the status of SMS, email or WhatsApp providers. Submitting a message to a channel is not a promise of delivery.

Prepayment and card authorization are different operations. Eligible flows may require a configured Rezervem Pay and merchant virtual POS setup, plus the venue's booking rules.

  • Test service messages and the required permissions.
  • Check whether a booking is requested, pending or confirmed.
  • Test payment cases only where merchant setup supports them.

5. Verify source labels and shared operations in Manager

Use each venue's intended Website and Instagram URL. A link forwarded to another channel may still carry the original source parameter, so a source label is not guaranteed attribution to paid advertising or revenue.

Eligible website and external-channel bookings, together with staff-entered telephone reservations, should be checked in one operational schedule. Verify guest count, booking status, table assignment and late changes.

  • Does the record belong to the intended restaurant?
  • Did the Website or Instagram source resolve?
  • What happens on sold-out days and closed meal periods?
  • Have mobile, cancellation and modification cases been tested?

Know what each booking channel does

Your restaurant website and Instagram primarily use venue booking links with source labels. Google Maps can also offer a separate native End-to-End experience at eligible restaurants. MICHELIN Guide requires eligible venue profiles and an enabled booking channel.

These channels are discovery and reservation entry points; Rezervem Manager is where the team operates bookings, tables and guest records.
