1. Confirm the exact integration goal
The verified OMNI connection matches closed POS checks to Rezervem reservations. Do not treat it as real-time check creation, automatic POS order posting or a universal feature offered to every venue.
2. Prepare the reservation reference field
- Verify that staff can enter a Rezervem reservation ID in the dedicated OMNI check-closing field.
- Train the team to use the correct reservation identifier, not the guest's name.
- Test what happens when the identifier is empty or incorrect.
3. Verify authorized overnight data access
- Confirm that the venue-specific database access is approved and working.
- Check that the OMNI check view returns reservation references and check amounts.
- Validate the scheduled overnight import for the venue.
- Ensure the same reservation ID is not mistakenly assigned to a different visit.
4. Test amount matching and item detail separately
- Create a test Rezervem reservation and close its OMNI check with the correct identifier.
- After the overnight import, verify the check ID and amount against that reservation.
- Use the configured OMNI check-detail view to retrieve supported item lines, quantities and prices.
- Do not assume that successful amount matching means all items were imported into the guest profile.
5. Agree operational responsibility
Document how the team handles missing references, unavailable database access and checks that cannot be matched. Train staff to include the reservation ID during check closure.
