A task can exist even when a push message does not arrive
A housekeeping request may be visible on the operations board while the assigned employee receives no mobile alert. Task creation, provider acceptance, device delivery, being seen and being acknowledged are separate stages.
Start with the task itself
Have an authorised colleague check the task reference, property, department, assignee, target time and open/closed state. Fix incorrect routing before investigating delivery mechanisms.
Review device and provider readiness
The intended staff device needs an active registration, up-to-date session and notification permission. The property also needs a configured sending provider. Browser push and supervisor escalation are not necessarily enabled in every deployment.
- Is the task assigned to the intended person?
- Is the device registered with notifications permitted?
- Are dispatch, delivery and acknowledgement being treated as distinct events?
Keep the service request moving
Until notification delivery is restored, supervisors should monitor open tasks in the operations board and coordinate with staff directly. A sent alert is not evidence that the guest’s request has been fulfilled.
