The check closes, but what does it tell you about the guest?
A POS records the amount charged, the table and the products sold. If this information remains separate from the guest's reservation, staff may recognize the transaction but lose the context of the visit.
The configured Rezervem–OMNI connection links the two records through a reservation reference. It focuses on reading completed POS information, not replacing OMNI or opening a new POS check when a guest is seated.
The most important step happens at checkout
When the team closes an OMNI check, a dedicated field is used to enter its Rezervem reservation ID. This identifier connects the POS transaction to the matching guest visit.
An empty or incorrect reservation number can prevent the automated match. Staff need a clear closing procedure to ensure that the reference is entered correctly.
How does the overnight synchronization work?
A scheduled overnight process reads eligible check records through authorized database access. When the check's reservation reference matches a Rezervem reservation, its amount and supported service information can be recorded against the guest visit.
This is a venue-specific database integration, not a general real-time check-opening API. Availability depends on the database access and views configured for the venue.
Spend and items are different layers of information
A matched check contributes its amount to the reservation and guest history. Supported line-item details, such as products, quantities and line totals, can also be retrieved from the configured OMNI check-detail view.
The line-item inspection is a separate read; it should not be described as all product rows automatically being copied into every guest profile by the overnight job.
How Rezervem and OMNI work together
Rezervem Manager remains responsible for reservation and guest operations, while OMNI handles the POS transaction. The connection helps the restaurant understand which guest visit produced which spend.
