Begin with three separate measures
For a restaurant Gift campaign, measure how many entitlements were issued, how many were used and what they cost. Rezervem Gift maintains the reward and redemption records for these comparisons.
A campaign may issue 100 dessert rewards but serve only 20. Count redeemed benefits before treating all 100 as an incurred food cost.
Use a fair redemption-rate denominator
Divide redeemed gifts by issued gifts from a comparable period. Do not judge freshly issued rewards alongside those whose validity has already ended.
Track still-active, cancelled and expired entitlements separately. The timing and eligibility rules affect how the rate should be interpreted.
Match the cost to the benefit type
A complimentary item has an ingredient and service cost; a fixed discount has an actual deduction, while a percentage discount depends on the guest's bill.
Do not report an estimated booking value or missing POS figure as observed revenue. Identify incomplete inputs before drawing conclusions.
Redemption is not incremental demand
A regular may have returned even without receiving a gift. A redeemed code shows use, not that the reward alone generated the visit.
Compare guest visit history before and after the offer, and where possible compare a similar group that did not receive it. Keep the limits of the comparison visible.
Use findings to improve the next campaign
Low usage might point to an inconvenient expiry window, unclear offer, delivery failure or limited appeal. Review these factors before increasing the discount.
Use Gift for entitlement outcomes and Manager for visits. Treat Connect engagement and additional revenue as separate measures.
