How to Design Shared Membership Across Restaurant Groups

A practical approach to group membership with separate venue rules, benefit budgets and privacy responsibilities.

What does shared membership offer a guest?

A guest may visit different restaurants within one group. Decide whether a shared programme offers consistent recognition, an invitation, a concrete entitlement or simpler enrollment.

A common membership does not automatically mean one database or unlimited cross-venue access. Socielty is in development and shared spend and identity connections require separate proof.

Check the actual cross-venue journey

Use appropriately verified and permitted guest data to see how often people visit different venues. Two similar phone numbers alone do not establish that records belong to one person.

If cross-venue visits are rare, separate membership rules may be easier. Start with a small pilot and an agreed definition of a matched guest.

The group sets principles; the venue sets limits

The central team can set admission rules and tier naming. Each restaurant must still define eligible service hours, available benefit allocations and what staff will confirm.

Group and venue-level privileges are intended Socielty capabilities. Automatic levels or shared booking access at every location are not verified as production-ready.

Allocate benefit costs before launch

If a right earned at one restaurant is redeemed at another, determine which site pays for it, and how cancelled uses are reconciled. Priority booking never means unlimited inventory.

Gift manages specific entitlements and Pay handles its own financial flows. They should not be presented as a completed shared Socielty settlement engine.

Give teams only relevant access

Staff should view only information necessary for service. Birthdays, personal notes and spending require defined lawful processing, access control and retention.

Cross-brand data sharing is not a default Socielty promise. Verify operational permissions, contracts and applicable KVKK and electronic-marketing obligations before connecting venues.

Pilot two venues and one benefit

Start with a group of two restaurants and one entitlement the teams can deliver. Test membership verification, booking, redemption and follow-up as different operations.

Manager handles bookings, CRM guest information, Gift entitlements and Connect approved messages. Socielty aims to add a brand-owned membership layer. Explore the product or contact the team.
