How to set Experience sales rules by day, date and meal

Set Rezervem Experience availability rules by service day, meal and closed periods without mistaking them for table or event capacity.

What does a product sales calendar actually control?

Rezervem Experience can check whether an eligible product may be sold for a booking on a given day, meal period or date range, including explicitly closed dates. A chef's menu offered on Friday evenings should not appear as a normal purchasable option for a Monday lunch reservation.

This is a sales-validity rule, not a capacity engine. Making an item available on Friday does not reserve chairs, verify kitchen stock or promise that an event has spaces remaining. Those operational decisions stay with the venue and its reservation or event plan.

A Friday tasting menu with an exceptional closure

Suppose the kitchen offers a tasting menu every Friday and Saturday evening, but will close on a particular holiday. Define the normal service window and add the closed period so that the exception takes priority. Check both the regular Friday and the closed Friday before the team promotes the experience.

When several sale rules are configured, they can represent alternative valid windows, while the closure restricts them. Test the actual venue and booking date. A product that is active in the catalogue is not automatically appropriate for every reservation or every meal.

Five tests for service-day eligibility

Check the real venue configuration and staff responsibilities before inviting guests to use this workflow.

  • Define the service days and meal periods for the product.
  • Add any start and end dates that narrow the sales period.
  • Record exceptional kitchen closures or blocked dates.
  • Test an allowed booking, a blocked booking and an excluded meal period.
  • Review code-based sales and physical capacity as separate workflows.

Where Experience applies the rules and where it does not

The Experience sellability checks use reservation context, including its date and service period, when a product is sold with a booking. Sales of reservation-free products redeemed with a future-use code may not have a known service date at purchase, so the same date filter must not be assumed to apply.

Keep table capacity, stock availability and attendance limits in their appropriate workflows. Use Manager for the booking context and confirm with the kitchen that an allowed date is also operationally feasible. A sale window is not proof that the service can be fulfilled without planning.

FAQ: Do these rules automatically manage table capacity?

No. They control sales eligibility, not physical seating or ticket inventory.

FAQ: Can a closed period override a valid service day?

Yes. An exceptional closure can block an otherwise eligible day.

FAQ: Do date filters apply to every future-use voucher sale?

No. Do not assume booking-date filters apply to a reservation-free code sale.
