When the pre-payment amount is different from expected

Compare service date, meal, area, party size and the active payment rule to explain unexpected amounts.

Identify the applicable payment rule

A weekday lunch, a Saturday dinner, a private area and a large party can be subject to different booking-security rules. Do not assume a single deposit applies to every booking.

Match the booking to the rule

Verify the date, meal period, party size, venue area and any special-date exception. Check whether the configured rule is per person, fixed, percentage-based or dynamically selected in that venue.

  • Is the rule active at this property and date?
  • Did a changed party size affect the expected amount?
  • Are you confusing an authorisation with a charge?

Test with a transparent example

For illustration only, a 500 TRY per-person requirement would produce a 2,000 TRY amount for four guests. Discounts, instalments, split payments or another rule may change the actual outcome. Isolate one rule in each test.

Protect existing payment requests

If an administrator updates the rule, check how already-issued requests are handled. Do not ask a guest to pay again until the existing request and provider status have been reconciled.
