What is the prepayment amount and what remains to pay?
Rezervem Experience can record a prepayment percentage for an eligible product and distinguish the amount collected before service from the outstanding amount payable at the venue. Rezervem Pay handles a supported online collection. Neither creating the order nor sending a link is evidence that funds were received.
For example, a 2,000 TRY set menu with a 40% prepayment calls for 800 TRY up front, leaving 1,200 TRY to pay on site. Explain both figures and the cancellation terms to the guest before they confirm the purchase.
The guest journey from link to service
A restaurant may need ingredients for a celebration meal before the guests arrive. The team agrees when preparation should start and checks the payment status rather than treating a link-open event as a settled charge. A guest returning from the card authentication page is not sufficient proof of successful collection.
The original order price, paid amount and remaining balance are separate figures. If the reservation is cancelled, the team must distinguish a refund of an actual collection from money that was never paid. Any redemption code and its current status may also affect how the service is handled.
Five checks for prepayment and the remaining balance
Run these checks with a real venue and an authorised staff account before treating the workflow as ready for guests.
- Check the product price, tax and authorised prepayment percentage.
- Calculate and show the exact amount due now and the outstanding venue balance.
- Create an eligible product-based payment request and explain its terms.
- Confirm the payment provider reports success before treating the prepayment as collected.
- Reconcile the actual collection, refund conditions and unpaid balance after any change.
How Experience, Pay and Manager divide responsibilities
Experience maintains product and order amounts; Pay tracks the online payment request and its result. Manager maintains reservation context. In the current staff panel workflow, adding a product to a reservation creates a pay-at-venue order rather than silently charging the guest online.
An eligible product can be sold using a product-based payment request, but available providers and channels depend on venue configuration. Do not promise an automatic no-show penalty, universal refund or automatic collection of the remaining balance.
FAQ: Is the venue balance already collected?
No. The outstanding amount requires its own payment and operational checks.
FAQ: Is a shared payment link proof of payment?
No. Verify the successful payment transaction.
FAQ: Does staff adding a product in Manager charge the guest?
No. The supported staff-panel flow creates an order payable at the venue.
