Why use QR ordering for room service?
QR room-service ordering gives guests a browser menu to select products and send a room-linked request. Rezervem QR Order handles guest ordering, while the separate QR Order Management mobile app lets authorized staff manage the order.
A guest might otherwise call the front desk and repeat their room number and choices. QR ordering helps structure that request, but the hotel still needs valid room access, station hours and a team responsible for fulfilment.
Room number alone is not a valid stay
A supported hotel QR Order login may verify room details and dates against the connected stay data. Knowing only a room number must not be treated as permission to order for another guest.
This differs from a beach guest using a location-specific reservation link. Likewise, room delivery is not proof that the amount was automatically charged to the PMS folio; payment and room charging require separate validation.
How does the room-service station work?
Room service can have different menus, operating hours and staff access from pool or beach ordering. Guests review the configured products, options, notes and available allergen information in the browser.
When the order is submitted, QR Order checks again whether the station is accepting orders. Orders outside service hours can be blocked; test real schedule data and an already-open browser session.
How do the kitchen and staff handle the order?
Authorized staff should receive the right room location, products and relevant guest notes. Preparation can be managed using the staff screen and any configured printing devices, with status updates through the order lifecycle.
Start on one floor or with a few rooms. Test incorrect room data, expired stays, a closed station, weak network, a printer outage and unavailable menu items.
Which Rezervem products take part?
Rezervem QR Order connects the guest's browser menu to the staff order workflow. The separate QR Order Management app lets employees select an active station and review orders. The room-service setup checklist covers the pilot.
An Oracle Simphony menu can supply product data where a suitable integration and RVC mapping are configured. This does not automatically post every QR order to an Oracle check or PMS folio.
