WhatsApp campaign not sending: troubleshooting checklist

Check campaign status, sending account, template approval, recipient eligibility and provider error outcomes.

Find out whether the campaign started

A campaign scheduled in Connect is not the same as a message accepted or delivered by WhatsApp. If sending never started, investigate the publishing prerequisites. If it started, review per-recipient outcomes.

Check the account and template prerequisites

Confirm the correct venue and connected sending account, schedule, approved marketing template, language and variable values. Applicable campaigns also require a working contact-preferences path.

  • Is the campaign scheduled or running?
  • Is the template approved for the right category and language?
  • Is the eligible audience smaller than the saved contact list?

Read recipient outcomes separately

A contact excluded for missing permission or an invalid phone number is different from a message the provider rejected. Account funding, message quality, opt-outs and recipient errors require different investigations; do not apply one fix to every failed message.

Do not blindly resend the entire list

Partially processed campaigns may already have sent messages. Review job and recipient outcomes first, then ask an authorized support team to resolve uncertain submissions before retrying to avoid duplicate outreach.
